I am so excited, words can not express my emotions. His letters are becoming evermore sweet and excited as well. I LOVE THESE LETTERS and will miss them when they stop. I feel as if we are still teenagers, in high school, passing notes in class. I love love love it. Of course, it doesn't replace him physically being here, but its a great connection period.
He has had a busy week so far. I am not sure of all he has done, I know he has thrown grenades and had a blast doing so. He also mentioned in one of his letter, shooting the "big guns." Again, not sure what those are, but he's excited so thats all that matters! He had the night recon where he had to belly crawl (yes, I don't know the correct military jargin for that position, prone or something, IDK) 300m underneath barbed wire with live fire shooting above him. Of course, that was awesome to him. And coming up, his two final tasks: Today, his FINAL PT TEST and then sometime this upcoming week is Victory Forge; which is the last team building exercise and marks the "completion" of BCT. Then its outprocessing..........YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You would not believe how much he is eating these days and I seriously wonder if I am going to be able to feed this boy when he gets home. His appetite is soaring right now with how active he is. For breakfast ALONE he eats, every morning: Eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, grits or oat meal, two granola bars, yogurt, milk and orange juice. And here I am eating my midget one waffle :)
