No Deployment Yet

His Unit is gearing up to leave shortly, and Chris has reported to Rear D to focus on getting his knee better before he is allowed to deploy....

It is such a welcome change of pace compared to the 12 hour days he's been working since Christmas. Me and the Girls are enjoying having him home with us throughout the day.

He will be starting Physical therapy shortly in hopes of some relief for his knee. If the physical therapy works well, then he will be on his way to join up with his unit in a couple of months. If not, he will probably have surgery on his knee.

In a way the delay in deployment may just be a blessing for me and the kids and will keep us entertained during the summer and school will be a welcome start to fill their days.

We are doing well, have had some drama in stomach bugs, thrown away comforters and melted crayons in our dryer.... Yet it did usher in a new comforter for the girls, and a new dryer for me :D

I scrubbed for several hours yesterday on the crayon melted dryer and it seemed to be working (with WD 40 as per crayola's website) until we would turn it back on and it would heat up, more red melted wax would ooze from the fins on the side of the drum... obviously having wax underneath somehow.. and the smell of wd 40 was just horrid and stronger and stronger per each minute of running, even after I washed it well with warm soapy water...... After ruining about 100 bucks worth of spring clothing, 60 dollars worth of Army gear... we decided we could not risk ruining any more clothing or uniforms (shirts are 50 bucks a pop) So yay for new dryers!
