So, it is official as of this week, Chris has signed his contract and taken his Oath for the Army, full time. He will be leaving for BCT on 12/30, stationed at Ft. Jackson SC. His AIT will be at Ft. Gordon, GA and should graduate in September 2009. His MOS is 94F Computer Detections Systems Repair.
We are excited and very nervous at the same time. This will be such a life change, but we are so thankful for the opportunities ahead for our family. However, my heart is already aching at the thought of not having Chris beside me when I wake up in the mornings. My heart aches when I look at my children and know that they are going to miss their Daddy so badly. I miss him already, and he's not even gone.
As one of my many ticks on my check list: "Things to do before Chris is gone," We had our first family portrait taken this morning. We weren't able to purchase all the poses, but we do have them on disc. I am placing some on here that we didn't get prints of, so atleast everyone can see them.
