So Jacob got his weekly frowny face for behavior, stating that once again he didn't finish his writing worksheet and to please make sure he completes his homework plus his writing sheet before school tomorrow (which was complete within five minutes of being home) So I pull out the writing sheet, lol, and its G on one line and g on the next line and repeats down the page, wanting them to practice writing their G's. Well, most of you know Jacob attended Kindergarten last year and passed, but I didn't feel that Jacob was ready emotionally or maturity wise; had a meeting with the principal and she agreed with me, since he was the youngest in his class to begin with and we both agreed together it would be best to hold him back so he would "Soar" through first grade. So of course, Jacob has his alphabet down. So, when he sees the worksheet that I pulled out of his agenda, he turns and looks at me with his hands on his hips and says " I know, you don't even have to say it, but GOSH Mommy, why do I have to write so many dern G's. I am tired of writing that stupid letter. Can't she see I already know how to write it?" It was all I could do to not laugh, but I had to put on my concerned but stern face and direct him to the table to complete his work and to "show off how fast he can write his G's" Honestly, the G's that he did write were perfect. I think she does over react on some things, however, I do know that Jacob is just as stubborn as I and if she gives him an inch he WILL take atleast two miles back!
