Well, he called two more times this evening. He got a full hour and a half free time, then was on "Firewatch" from nine to ten. He just had to restock restrooms, do a head count, sweep, etc. for an hour.
He was feeling a lot better, his arms were still sore though. He took his PT test and passed with flying colors! He said that he wasn't the fastest by no means but wasn't the slowest either. He was average. He isn't the oldest either, but most guys are around 23-24. So he's got a good 3 to 4 years on most of them....
He said thankfully the Drill Sergeants haven't learned his name yet. He said that he's wondering what BCT is going to be like Drill Sergeant wise. Said several guys kept on talking when they were in formation and the Drill Sergeant said: "Just wait till we get home tuesday" and then proceeded with this analogy: "You know when you were a kid and you went out in public shopping, got in trouble for misbehaving and your mom told you to just wait till you get home? Well, this is public and we haven't made it home yet!" YIKES!
He is in good spirits so far and should be able to call me again tomorrow!
