I got a GOOD letter!

I finally got a lengthy letter today and was so thankful to hear how well he was doing. The other letters sent, he had not received any of mine yet. I feel much better knowing that we can now somewhat communicate together. A few days will lapse inbetween for the most part, the mail should constantly be rolling in... He said to apologize to his parents and everyone else. There has been no time to write. He has been kept busy steadily from 4:30am to 9:00pm, with no personal time alloted. He said that they should be entering the White Phase Monday and is thrilled, more freedoms, personal time and priviledges come along with that! WOO HOO!

So Far He has completed : Team Tower, Huge Obstacle Course, M-16 training (not certified till later), I.V's, Land navigation and .... THE GAS CHAMBER! All of this is in addition to all his class time, PT and drill and formation time.... He said they were a week behind but have caught up. He said Thursday will be their first day "on the range." I am not sure if that refers to M-16's live fire, or more field exercises.

I was thrilled to hear he was the FIRST to receive mail, was even picked on for getting so much at one time. (They had to be holding all the mail I had sent) The drill sergeant asked him if I had a life and his response: "Yes, Drill SGT! You're looking at it!" Ah, he melts my heart!

He had high spirits in his letter, said he was still going to church and loving it. He is suposed to get 45mins to call me on Sunday, so I PRAY PRAY PRAY somebody doesn't act up and he get that stripped.....Oh, and his knee is doing GREAT!
